FINIS MUSICAE
Finis Musicae is an art-tech initiative of Swedish roboticist and composer Fredrik Gran, New York based director and multi media auteur Charlotte Kemp Muhl, and German NASA/JPL designer and 3D artist Sage Morei.
This Exo-Orchestra uses brain-to-computer-interfaces, industrial robotics and machine learning to explore transhuman techniques and invent new genres of sonic and visual arts.

After 2 years of prototyping and research, Finis Musicae are featured in Wired magazine and MusicTech, have performed at a nuclear fusion facility (regarded by Ted Talk as “the best show they had ever seen”), have supported Anyma performing at The Sphere, are releasing a permanent installation with Mercer Labs, will be featured in an Arte TV documentary, as well as the Swiss Sound Bienalle, ARTECHOUSE, and are performing for Obama in April 2025.
Many exciting inventions and collaborations loom on the horizon, including performing in space and utilizing BlackRock NeuroTech brain implants to allow paralyzed musicians to play instruments through robotic avatars.
